Mama Edith Eulogized As Astute Leader, Solid Mobilizer

The late Edith Malombe A Requiem mass for the late Mama Edith Mawia Malombe was held this evening at CITAM church along Valley Road in Nairobi city. The thousands who attended the mass, including Edith's nuclear family and colleagues in legal fraternity said they wanted to celebrate her life for what she had achieved while she was alive. The late Edith, who was the dear wife of Kitui's pioneer governor Dr Julius Malombe was eulogized as an astute  leader, a solid mobilizer, a phenomenal woman and a great heroine.  A representative from the Law Society of Kenya described the late Edith as a a firm lawyer, a key strategist and a pillar in the community.  "Her loss is not only for her family but also the legal fraternity and the country at large," said Eric, the LSK Rep.  Mama Edith was also eulogized as a great role model and a deeply religious woman who was prayerful.  "She taught me everything in this world is won on knees," stated Njoki, a dotting daughter

Hearty Consolation As Dr Malombe Visits Mwingi Accident Survivors

Recovery operation at River Enziu   The survivors of River Enziu accident who are recuperating at Mwingi level 4 hospital received a much welcome visitor in the name of Dr Julius Malombe  who visited the facility to check on them. The pioneer Governor was in the company of Wiper boss Kalonzo Musyoka, Woman Rep Irene Kasalu and few other leaders.  Malombe told the survivors to put everything in the hands of the lord during this difficult time even as he wished them speedy recovery. Malombe who has been asked by a majority kitui residents to come back as Governor also sent condolences to the families of the departed relatives who drowned when the bus they were travelling in was swept by the river after hitting a gorge on the drift. Dr Malombe Joins Other Leaders At Enziu

Dr Malombe when he joined Kalonzo and other leader at Enziu River  Kitui's pioneer governor Dr Julius Malombe was among tens of leaders who paid a visit to Mwingi residents affected by the bus disaster at Enziu River. Dr Malombe made a first stop at Mwingi Level 4 hospital where he visited the survivors of the accident and wished them speedy recovery.  From the hospital, Dr Malombe joined Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and other leaders at Enziu river where the retrieval efforts to remove the submerged bus was ongoing. Dr Malombe described the accident as the worst tragedy to hit Kitui county, and prayed for the affected families to find consolation in God.  

Dr Malombe's Condolence Message To Mwingi Families

The ill fated bus moments before it plunged into River Enziu  Kitui's pioneer governor Dr Julius Malombe has sent his condolences to the families of victims who drowned at River Enziu when their bus overturned as it tried crossing the swollen river on Saturday.  Dr Malombe said he had learnt of the horror accident with deep shock.  The pioneer governor noted that the loss of over 20 people was a big blow not only to the Catholic Church but also the county in general. He prayed that the affected families and the survivors get fortitude, adding that they need counselling to cope with the trauma. Here below is his message  I have learnt of the Mwingi horror accident at River Enziu with a deep sense of shock and loss.  It is quite saddening that innocent lives could be lost in such a gruesome manner. This is a big blow to the Catholic church and the county as a whole.  My heart bleeds for the families who have lost their loved ones. It is indeed a sad day for Kitui.  I would like to ta
