Ukambani Governors Have No Following - Says Munyambu

Campbell Munyambu

The coordinator for Mwingi Professionals Forum and Business Community has dismissed the 3 Ukambani governors as self seekers out to confuse the Kamba community.

Campbell Munyambu took issue with the governors' low key event in Machakos county on Wednesday where they purported to show the community political direction.

Munyambu who is a close ally of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka noted that Charity Ngilu, Kivutha Kibwana and Alfred Mutua were trying to remain politically relevant after the expiry of their terms by casting Ukambani region as divided.

The professional stated that Ukambani region and indeed all Kamba voters across the country were solidly behind Kalonzo.

"Those governors are just confused spoilers looking for relevance since their contract with the voters have come to an end. We know our leader and our presidential candidate who is HE Kalonzo Musyoka. Those three should be rejected," Munyambu said.

He added that the three governors had failed in their mandate in running their respective counties which is why they wanted to hide behind ODM leader Raila Odinga to get sanitized.

"Somebody like Ngilu cannot be elected anywhere due to her questionable dealings. Mutua is equally dubious and Kibwana has nothing to show yet they think their saviour will be Raila" he stated.

Munyambu reiterated that Kalonzo would be in the presidential ballot and rubbished claims that he might join Azimio movement .

"We have supported Raila twice and we can't afford to go back to Egypt. Let those who want to follow him blindly such as Ngilu do so without pretending they can divide the  Ukambani vote. They have no following," he added.

Kalonzo will hold a leaders meeting at his Yatta farm tomorrow where he is expected to define his political path ahead of August 9 presidential election.

  1. It is true the trio is just looking political relevance going forward ,let's my friend Campbell not forget SKM is equally looking for relevance. He is a man in siege politically. He is confused because he wasted his political career waiting for sponsors like Raila who have forsaken him.Campell my friend I doubt whether SKM can garner half of Ukambani voting block!Proof me wrong in my guess
