Kalonzo's Presidential Moment is Here - Says Professional

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been asked to move with speed, mobilize his troops and solidify his political base in readiness to take over presidential power in 2027.


The call has been made by Campbell Munyambu, a Mwingi based professional and political commentator who told the press that the stars are now aligned for Kalonzo's presidency.


While describing Kalonzo as a diplomat of international credentials, Munyambu said that the recent pronouncements by president William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga in reference to Kalonzo were indications that time is now ripe for the former Vice President to lead the country.


"We have seen Raila heaping praises on Kalonzo, describing him as a trusted friend who has stood the test of time. This is a signal that even Raila feels and believes that Kalonzo is the man of the moment," Mr Munyambu stated. 


On Sunday, Raila's brother Oburu Odinga invited Kalonzo as a guest of honour during his 80th birthday party in which Kalonzo was praised for his steadfastness.


"Ruto has also mentioned that he will be facing Kalonzo in 2027. That tells you that he acknowledges Kalonzo as the only worthy competitor who can actually take him home" added Munyambu.


He explained that what the Wiper leader now needs is to mobilize his troops and vigorously move across the country selling himself as the best bet for Kenyans, following what he called a massive failure by the Kenya Kwanza government.


He reasoned that those who elected president Ruto into office were now fatigued and disappointed in him and his administration, saying Kenyans need a political alternative they can now identify with.


"Kalonzo is acceptable across the country. Let him take advantage of the prevailing situation and shore up his presidential ambitions for 2027. In him, We are actually looking at the next president who will be embraced by all Kenyans" Munyambu opined.


At the same time, the professional challenged Ukambani leaders to coalesce around Kalonzo and accompany him in his tours across the country while marketing his candidature to take over the reigns of power.


"We want to see leaders; MCAs, MPs, senators and possibly governors accompanying Kalonzo all over Kenya. Let us own him and seek support from others," Munyambu advised.

Dubbed myKituiApp , the digital platform which is meant to be a one stop shop will be instrumental in payment of county services such as business permits, parking fees and revenue management systems. The online tool will also come in handy in offering solutions around agriculture, health, utility bills and SME programs. Our Reporter   State of Devolution: Kitui leads other counties As the Devolution conference gets underway in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, Kitui County under the leadership of Governor Julius Malombe has been cited as the best performing county among the 47 in the country. This is according to the latest report by the Council of Governors that was released by the chairperson Anne Waiguru.  The second performing county according to the unbiased report is Waiguru's Kirinyaga County followed by Vihiga in their position.  This feat has earned Governor Malombe a coveted position and honour in the Devolution Conference where he is expected to receive a standing ovation and a chance to address his colleagues and delegates drawn from across the country.
