Dr Julius Malombe's candidature for Kitui gubernatorial seat has become a monumental sensation. So much are the voters intrigued by Dr Malombe's comeback that his has become an unstoppable bid. 


Because Dr Malombe's candidature is people driven. The candidate has the entire Kitui populace firmly behind him. Whatever Dr Malombe's does, he has no choice but to become the next Governor. Kitui population has vowed not to accept anything less. 


And that's for a good cause. Yet it is this love and confidence from the people towards Malombe that is causing so much fear, jealousy, and confusion to the withering competing camps. Through their vain advisors, the competitors are trying to craft lazy propaganda to discredit the pioneer governor but voters have urged Dr Malombe to stick his eyes on the ball.


"Listen not to the naysayers. It is us who have called for your comeback. We know what your leadership means for the county. You have our back" the voters chorus from corner to corner of every part of the county. 


 So why has Dr Malombe become such a sensation, that everybody wants to be part of the winning team. Everybody from Bodaboda operators, hardworking Mama Mbogas, Business people, Contractors, the Teaching fraternity, Matatu operators, SMEs, Cobblers, Health workers, Council of elders, the Church, Muslims and religious groupings, Professionals, Grassroots Opinion Leaders, and even the current county government workforce - they are all behind Dr Malombe. 


Indeed Daktari enjoys the support of all and sundry. 


What is the driving force??


1. *Capacity:* 

Dr. Julius Malombe is a local Kitui county resident, born and bred in the county. He understands his home county well together with the challenges bedeviling the residents well. Only a wearer of a shoe knows where it pinches. 


2. *Integrity:* 

The pioneer Kitui governor is a respectable man of integrity and principle with an illustrious career not tainted with corruption scandals. 


3. *Experience:*

 Dr. Malombe is well-schooled, exposed and experienced in public service. He served as pioneer Kitui governor and is currently serving as chairman Kenya Water Towers Agency. He also served the Kenya government in other various capacities previously. He thus got the much needed experience for political leadership and administration. 


4. *Track Record:* 

The foundation laying governor for Kitui County is a development conscious juggernaut with his unmatched record of 5295 projects in 4 years, 4 months  yet the only “THING” Kitui residents can see in their villages even after he left office in 2017. 


5. *Resourceful:*  

Dr. Malombe is a man of means, a successful professional and well-established investor whose desire for leadership is not motivated by lust for public resources but development of his home county (Kitui) and service delivery to fellow residents.


6. *God fearing:* 

Dr. Malombe is a staunch catholic, a teetotaler and a disciplined church elder whose fear of God forms the bedrock for his integrity, respect and service to humanity.

We are Going Digital & Paperless - says Governor Malombe

Governor Malombe with Nicholas Mulila  Our Reporter   The county government in partnership with Safaricom Plc has launched a digital platform that will enable county residents access county government services online. Dubbed myKituiApp , the digital platform which is meant to be a one stop shop will be instrumental in payment of county services such as business permits, parking fees and revenue management systems. The online tool will also come in handy in offering solutions around agriculture, health, utility bills and SME programs. State of Devolution: Kitui Leads other Counties in Service Delivery

Our Reporter   State of Devolution: Kitui leads other counties As the Devolution conference gets underway in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County, Kitui County under the leadership of Governor Julius Malombe has been cited as the best performing county among the 47 in the country. This is according to the latest report by the Council of Governors that was released by the chairperson Anne Waiguru.  The second performing county according to the unbiased report is Waiguru's Kirinyaga County followed by Vihiga in their position.  This feat has earned Governor Malombe a coveted position and honour in the Devolution Conference where he is expected to receive a standing ovation and a chance to address his colleagues and delegates drawn from across the country.
