One of the beauties who showcased her talent at Tyaa Wendo Gardens  By Savethi Musili This coming Friday, 30th December all roads will lead to Tyaa Wendo Gardens for a colourful Youth Talents Promotion (YTP) bonanza. The event will bring together rare kienyeji beauties only available this side of Ukambani as youth from all walks of life troop to Tyaa Wendo Gardens- Mwingi, to showcase their talents. The event is organized by  YTP in conjunction with Tyaa Wendo Gardens which is owned by kiongozi Dr. Temi Mutia   and is aimed at bringing out  the immense talents found amongst many of our youth The tantalizing event will kick off from 9.00 AM to 4.00PM. The youth will showcase various talents including: ~ Music; ~ Dance ~ Comedy ~ Fashion Show/Catwalks  ~ Spoken word ~ Poems  Among others. Kitui Bishop Feted for Humanitarian Work

Bishop Isaac Kithome Homeland Reporter   Bishop Isaac Mutuku Kithome is not your average cleric.  The Head Bishop at Gospel Outreach Church (GOC) in Kitui County has won the hearts of many - both locally and internationally - for his efforts in humanitarian work and peace missions across the globe.  Bishop Kithome has been honoured with outstanding accolades and honours as a local and international peace ambassador of great standing.  He has received a bounty of awards for his humanitarian efforts and conflict resolution initiatives that include holding local and international peace talks aimed at making the country and the world a better place for humanity.  The man of collar is also well educated. He is a celebrated linguist who boasts a Master's degree in literature and philosophy.  "The world is indeed a good place with people like Bishop Kithome. He is an inspiration to many," remarked a worshipper at GOC. 

Women, Youth Reap Big As Malombe Unveils CO Nominee

Praised as gender sensitive, regionally balanced and with generous inclusion of youths , the Governor could not have made a better choice.  "Kindly tell the governor I'm so proud of him. This is the face of Kitui County" remarked John Kisangau Mbaki, former County Assembly Minority Leader who served as Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA. While unveiling the names, the Governor gave 9 slots to the youth to serve in his administration . Seven of these individuals are aged 35 years and below. Saving Kyamutotya Water Tower - 60,000 Trees Planted

Mama Mbogas with MP Makali Muli & Patron Catherine Mutia  Our Reporter   Mama mbogas who sell their wares within Kitui town have launched an umbrella self help group which is meant to spur their businesses into greater heights.  The women drawn from 10 sectors launched Mama Mboga Muungano Self Help Group on Saturday at a Kitui hotel in a colourful event attended by Kitui Central MP Makali Mulu and Deputy Governor's wife Catherine Kanani.  Margaret Musili who is the chairlady of the Self Help Group said their unity was informed by their desire to expand and succeed in their respective businesses.  "Our aim is to empower ourselves and this way we shall be able to empower other women.
