Don't panic over boundaries review rumours, we shall guide the process well - Ben Mwongela alias Muthukumi urges Kitui Rural residents

The professional also cautioned against early campaigns

Residents of Kitui Rural, particularly Lower Yatta have been urged to stay calm and not panic over the rumoured constituency boundaries review exercise.

The call has been made by one of their own, Benjamin Mwongela alias Muthukumi, a Nairobi based businessman and a highly respected professional with exceptional political influence.

Addressing the residents at St Lukes yatta during the launch of KIMA SACCO that was graced by Kitui Rural MP Mwalika Mboni and his Kitui Central counterpart Makali Mulu as well as Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Nding'o, Mwongela told the residents that professionals and other leaders in the region will guide the boundaries review process properly to ensure that it is aligned to the wishes of the people.

Mwongela urged the residents not to worry about rumours that some parts of Kitui Rural will be hived off and moved to other regions, saying that the residents' views on the boundaries review process will be taken into account before the final decision is made.

"Let us not get confused by the talk about boundaries review. I want to assure you that we shall guide the process keenly to ensure it complies with the wishes of the local residents," Mwongela said.

At the same time, the professional cautioned against early campaigns by people who are angling for the Constituency Parliamentary seat. He advised that those who are already in office should be given time to work and deliver on their promises without interuptions from political aspirants.

"I want to urge our people to stop early campaigns. Let us give those already in the office ample time to work for us," Muthukumi advised.

His call was supported with claps and cheers by hundreds of the attending residents. Further, Mwongela appealed to the residents to join the KIMA Sacco in order to empower themselves economically.
