Our Reporter

Following the accident that happened at Katangi yesterday claiming the lives of 10 people, Governor Julius Malombe has today dispatched a team of high level officers to visit the injured victims at Machakos level V hospital.

The visiting team in Machakos include CECM for health Ruth Koki who was accompanied by Chief Officer for Medical Services Dr Benson Musyoka and his counterpart Aggrey Kamba. They joined the Machakos county health team led by the CECM for health Dr Daniel Yumbya.

The gesture by the Kitui County Government to commiserate with the victims of the grisly road accident has been lauded by County residents.

It shows that the county administration cares for its people even when they have been admitted in facilities outside the County.

Addressing the press in Machakos, Waziri Koki and Daniel Yumbya said the victims of the accident were responding well to treatment, although some who were critical have been referred to other facilities in Nairobi City County.
