Full Cabinet As Mrs. Titus is Approved

The Assembly Tuesday morning unanimously adopted the report by the Committee on Appointments to approve Mrs. Joyce Titus as the CECM for Education, Training, and Skills Development.

The approval brings to an end an impasse that has lasted in the assembly for a couple of days after the nominee's name was controversially dropped from a list of 10 names presented by the Governor.

This Desk reliably learnt that the initial dropping of her name emanated from a mix up of her names and had nothing to do with her qualifications or competence in the docket she is nominated for.

Mrs. Titus who comes from Lower Kitui East was vetted by the Committee on Appointments on 30th January 2023 after successfully reorganizing her names in line with legal requirements.

The Assembly has also approved all the 26 CO nominees as presented to the House by Governor Malombe.

The Governor will now swear in 10 of his CECs and the 26 COs who are set to hit the ground running in helping him reposition the county on the path of development and growth.
