Raila is Not fit for AU - says Campbell Munyambu

Unfit Our Reporter   Raila Odinga's Africa Union Commission chairmanship bid which is seemingly headed for a crushing doom has received cold water from the coordinator of Mwingi professionals Forum Mr Campbell Munyambu. Addressing the press today in Mwingi town, Mr Munyambu stated that the AU chairmanship position needs a man of admirable diplomacy and acceptable character, which Raila lacks. Mr Munyambu pointed out that Raila lacks the requisite credentials to head the AU commision, adding that in Africa, Raila has earned the dubious fame of being a warmonger and lacking in consistency. rich MoU Kitui County Government under Governor Julius Malombe has found favour with the National Government and other development partners due to the transparent manner it is executing its programmes. Governor Malombe sends Team to visit Accident Victims in Machakos

Our Reporter  Following the accident that happened at Katangi yesterday claiming the lives of 10 people, Governor Julius Malombe has today dispatched a team of high level officers to visit the injured victims at Machakos level V hospital.  The visiting team in Machakos include CECM for health Ruth Koki who was accompanied by Chief Officer for Medical Services Dr Benson Musyoka and his counterpart Aggrey Kamba. They joined the Machakos county health team led by the CECM for health Dr Daniel Yumbya. The gesture by the Kitui County Government to commiserate with the victims of the grisly road accident has been lauded by County residents. It shows that the county administration cares for its people even when they have been admitted in facilities outside the County. Waziri Mwendandu (Centre) with team Our Reporter Kitui  County Minister for Energy, Environment, Climate Change, Forestry, Natural and Mineral Resources, Mr. Richard Mwendandu, Wednesday hosted a team from Strengthening Forestry Sector Development and Community Resilience to Climate Change through Sustainable Forest Management and Landscape Restoration (SFS-CORECC) project.  The five-year project, which is being implemented in eight counties, including Kitui, aims to promote sustainable forest management, landscape restoration, and climate change mitigation and adaptation in Kenya. A key focus of the project is to promote commercial forestry in pilot counties and to strengthen technical support for Melia volkensii, also known as the Mukau tree, which is native to the region. Additionally, the project aims to study value addition and marketing of Melia volkensii products, with the goal of enhancing the economic potential of this valuable resource. The team explored the development of a
